In addition to the daily lectures, our students may spend part of their leisure time at the University by participating in seminars and clubs.
Linguistics Club of International Burch University was founded in year of 2009, with the aim to give students a chance to find out more about languages or linguistics, and unwind thanks to the club activities. The club seeks to foster community within the English Department, as well as reach out to non-Linguistics students who have an interest in this field.
The objectives of the club can be summarized as the following:
- inspire a general interest in Linguistics and related fields among IBU students
- host linguistics and language - related events for the public
- provide a forum for advising IBU students on their ideas, questions, and projects
- help students in their understanding of Linguistics and languages
- create a better university spirit thanks to the university newspaper
offers instruction in represented nationalities languages of IBU as well as in other aspects of foreign culture such as art, music, literature. The Club’s vision is to serve the IBU community by identifying the needs of the students and designing and implementing activities that will allow meeting those needs and to promote culture, dialogue, language, literature and arts in the IBU.
